Natural UK Stone Memorials

Rustic Stone Memorials serve as an informal, unique memory preservervation of your loved one. Our engraved memorials are as individual as the deceased, and natural stones, like people, no two can be exactly alike.

Our unique memorials are perfect for the garden or memorial area to mark a grave or where ashes were scattered, or simply a spot in the garden that the person loved to spend time in. They are less conspicuous than a large formal memorial stone, but will last for years in the UK climate.

Rustic Stone memorials can either be flat for wall mounting or laying flat on a bed of gravel or on top of a grave, or can be thick based to free stand. For a more permanent fixture, some of our customers have even set the memorial stone into cement.

We hand pick our slate for the memorial stones from quarries in North Wales as we find the quality of Welsh slate to be superior to most others for engraving lasting memorials. The boulders come from all over the UK, as far away as Scotland and as close as Reigate, in Surrey UK.

Stone won't rot or tarnish as wood or metal can, although you may want to put down a layer of fine grit or pebbles to allow for draining to stop the frost getting into the stone and starting to break it down over time (this only applies for slate memorial stones).

All of our memorial stone plaques and freestanding stones can be fully personalised to suit your needs, although, due to the roughness of the stone, it's difficult to apply lots of text or fine images to the memorial stones. We can deal with a massive choice of fonts, feel free to download or just pick the one you like and let us know.

Artwork may be required in some instances for special images such as childs handwriting or a drawing you may like to have engraved into the stone - although we do have a very good stock of simple images that we can use, we don't offer them on the site so you will need to let us know what you require. If you want an image, or just have an idea, contact us and we can tell you if it's possible and offer you a selection of images to see.

We take enormous pride in supplying you with the memorial stone that you will love. All of our stones are individual, but don't let that stop you from choosing an approximate shape from our examples that you would like your memorial stone to be.

Pricing for memorials is based on the dimensions (per square centimetre) of the face of the stone - not amount of text (within reason) and images will be extra. Most of the shown examples have the cost and dimensions on the page that we charged for that individual stone. If you would like a price please contact us and we will supply a photograph of the stone that we select that seems to suit your needs and overlay your message and image (if any) over it and email it to you for approval - with sizes and full costings, including delivery. Payments will only be taken when you are entirely satisfied with what we send you to approve.
